BRAVES RALLY LATE TO EDGE TECUMSEH, 34–30

SHAWNEE — In a game that featured momentum swings, big plays and a dramatic fourth-quarter finish, the Shawnee Braves held off Tecumseh 34–30 in a thrilling battle that came down to the final moments.

Shawnee struck first in the second quarter when Landon Cattell powered across the goal line on a 1-yard touchdown run. The Braves converted the extra point to take an 8–7 lead.

The pace picked up in the third quarter. Zain DeWeese found the end zone on a 1-yard touchdown run, giving Shawnee a 16–14 advantage. Tecumseh answered, but the Braves responded again as Ethan Christian broke through for an 11-yard touchdown run, tying the game at 22–22.

With the game hanging in the balance in the fourth quarter, DeWeese delivered another explosive play, breaking free for a 39-yard touchdown run. Tecumseh answered to take a 30–28 lead, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.

Then came the game-winning moment.

With Shawnee needing a big play, DeWeese connected with Corey Ohlinger on a 29-yard touchdown pass, putting the Braves back in front 34–30. Shawnee's defense held the lead from there, securing the hard-fought four-point victory.
