VARSITY FOOTBALL BROOKVILLE RECAP

Shawnee could not break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 2nd loss of the year. They were beaten by the Brookville Blue Devils 38-6. The Braves were in a tough position going into the half down 35-0 after a couple turnovers in Braves territory that led to Brookville Scores. The Braves won the 2nd half but were unable to over come the deficit.

Landon Cattell (17) threw for 116 yards on 8 of 12 attempts. John Forbes (5) was the top target, picking up 140 receiving yards. Zain DeWeese (33) scored on a 1 yard run up the middle for the Braves following his 66 yard pass to John Forbes. DeWeese also led the Braves defense with 12 tackles.

Coming up, Shawnee will welcome Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday for the Home opener.
